An electronic technician will install, repair, and improve upon existing electronics. This may include tasks like installing cabling and wiring, running tests to ensure electronics are working correctly, adapting electronics to enhance performance, and assisting electronic engineers with the creation of new electronics.
To thrive in this position you should have extensive knowledge and understanding of electronic design and engineering. You will also need to be proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or similar software. Important soft skills to have include great communication, and strong problem solving, amongst others.
Recruiters are likely to require you to have a degree in electronics or a similar field, relevant certification if required for your region, and may at times require you to be able to physically carry certain weights.
